Patriots Add Three Pitchers Including Major Leaguers Wright And Rupe

Bridgewater, NJ – The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced the signing of right-handed pitchers Chase Wright and Josh Rupe and left-handed pitcher David Quinowski.

Wright appeared in three Major League games with the New York Yankees and has a 2-0 record at the Major League level.

Wright also has five seasons of Triple-A experience in the Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers organizations.

He has a minor league career 80-61 record, a 4.22 ERA, and 770 strikeouts in 1,183 innings pitched in 253 games.

Wright split the 2011 season at Double-A in Huntsville and Triple-A in Nashville within the Brewers organization.

Rupe pitched in 90 Major League games for the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Baltimore Orioles. He appeared in nine games for the Orioles last season.

Rupe has a 5-3 record and 90 strikeouts in 156.2 innings in the Major Leagues.

He also has six seasons of Triple-A experience and a career 40-40 record, 4.73 ERA, and 468 strikeouts in 605.2 innings pitched in 213 minor league games.

Quinowski has spent his entire career in the San Francisco Giants organization, including the past two seasons at the Double-A level in Richmond.

Quinowksi was 4-3 with a 3.64 ERA in 54.1 innings pitched in 40 games last season. He has a minor league career 18-11 record, a 2.44 ERA, and 287 strikeouts in 272.2 innings pitched in 186 games.
