Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (9-8) face the Bridgeport Bluefish (12-5) at 7:05pm from TD Bank Ballpark in the first game of this three game midweek series. The Patriots have lost a season-high three games in a row while the Bluefish hold the best record in the entire Atlantic League. Patriots’ first baseman Jesse Hoorelbeke was a member with the Bridgeport Bluefish from 2007-09. In 2007 Hoorelbeke was the co-player of the year as he tallied 33 HRs, 94 RBI and hit .313.

Roy Merritt makes his fourth start of the year later tonight

Players To Watch…

Somerset: Jeff Nettles. Nettles is currently on a seven game hitting streak. He has multi-hit games in each of his last three contest. During the streak he is 10-for-22 at the plate with seven RBI.

Bridgeport: Kennard Jones. Jones is currently on a nine game hitting streak. He has multi-hit games in each of his last four contest. On the year he is hitting a team-high .386 with 13 RBI.
