Central Islip, NY – Today the Somerset Patriots (12-10) visit the Long Island Ducks (14-7) at 1:35 p.m. from Bethpage Ballpark in the final game of this three game weekend series. The Patriots look to salvage the final game of this series as they dropped the first two contests. The Patriots have lost five of six games to the Ducks this season. The Patriots are currently one game behind the Lancaster Barnstormers for first place in the Freedom Division.
Friday the Patriots squandered a four run lead in the seventh inning. The bullpen imploded surrendering seven runs in the final two frames to give the Ducks a 9-7 win. Last night the Ducks led from start to finish as the Ducks won convincingly 15-3. The 12 run margin of the defeat was the largest for the Patriots this season.
