June 9th Game Notes; Patriots @ Skeeters

Sugar Land, TX – Today the Somerset Patriots (18-23) play a day/night doubleheader with the Sugar Land Skeeters (17-23) at 1:05 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. from Constellation. The Patriots won the series opener last night 9-0. Doug Arguello was fantastic as he tossed his fourth quality start in his last five outings. The Patriots are 5-0 against the Skeeters this year. Since the calendar turned to June, the Somerset Patriots bullpen has tossed 26.0 innings and allowed just four runs. Players have found their niche in the ‘pen.

The Skeeters roster features five former Patriots who played for Somerset last year. They are Josh Pressley, Iggy Suarez, Matt Hagen, Ryan Houston and Derrick Gordon.
