Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (22-25) host the York Revolution (23-23) at 7:05 p.m. from TD Bank Ballpark in the second game of this four game weekend series. The Revolution blanked the Patriots last night 1-0 in a classic pitchers’ duel between Corey Thurman and Doug Arguello. The Revolution have now defeated the Patriots all four times the squads have met this season.

Mike MacDonald makes his 10th start of the year for the Patriots tonight. MacDonald was the opening night starter.

Since being signed this week, newcomer Joe Holden is 12-for-30 with 3 sacrifice bunts, 3 RBI, 6 stolen bases and an outfield assist. He’s the catalyst and spark plug for the Patriots.

Since the calendar turned to June, the Somerset Patriots bullpen has tossed 40.2 innings and allowed just six earned runs. Players have found their niche in the ‘pen.

Lancaster is in 1st place by 5.5 games over York. Somerset is 7.0 games behind Lancaster.
