Bridgewater, NJ- The York Revolution shut out the Somerset Patriots 1-0 for the second straight game before 8,326 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday night. The crowd was the second largest in team history.

The Revolution broke the scoreless tie in the top of the ninth inning on a solo home run by Ramon Castro (7) on the first pitch thrown by reliever Josh Rupe (1-4).

York starter Chris Cody (4-5) picked up the win, allowing five hits over eight scoreless innings. R.J. Rodriguez earned his tenth save of the season.

Patriots starter Mike MacDonald allowed just three hits in seven scoreless innings of work in a no decision.

The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at home on Saturday with a 7:05 pm game against the Revolution.
