Waldorf, MD – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (24-26) begin a six game road trip as they first travel to face the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (25-25) at Regency Furniture Stadium at 7:05 p.m. The Patriots are playing a great brand of baseball now as they have won eight of their last 11 games. The Patriots took two of three at TD Bank Ballpark against the Blue Crabs in early May.

Starting Stronger

In the last 11 games the Patriots starting pitchers have thrown 69.1 innings and allowed just 12 earned runs. That’s good for a microscopic 1.56 ERA.

Bullpen Stronger

Since the calendar turned to June, the Somerset Patriots bullpen has tossed 49.2 innings and allowed just eight earned runs. Players have found their niche in the ‘pen.

Tonight will be the first of 20 straight games for the Patriots. They have no days off until the All-Star Break.
