Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (27-29) face the Long Island Ducks (32-23) at 7:05 p.m. as these two squads begin a three game midweek series at TD Bank Ballpark. The Ducks have the Patriots number this year as Long Island has won six of the seven meetings against Somerset in 2012.

Final Homestand

The Patriots begin a seven game homestand tonight. This will be the final homestand of the first half of the season. The Patriots play three with Long Island and four with Bridgeport.

Big Monday

Tonight it is bark in the park night so get yours tickets and bring your dog and enjoy the jewel of the Atlantic League that is TD Bank Ballpark. Also New York Jets rookies will be taking batting practice with the Patriots. Jets first round draft pick, defensive lineman Quinton Coples out of the University of North Carolina, will be throwing out the first pitch.

Bullpen Stronger

Since the calendar turned to June, the Somerset Patriots bullpen has tossed 64.0 innings and allowed just 10 earned runs. Players have found their niche in the ‘pen.

Lefty Doug Arguello toes the rubber for the Patriots while fellow lefty Randy Keisler is on the mound for the Ducks.
