Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (8-8, 43-43) host the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (8-6, 38-46) from TD Bank Ballpark at 7:05 p.m. This will be the third game of the four game weekend series. The Patriots swept the doubleheader last night winning both games 6-5 with each game being dramatic and won in walk-off fashion. Below are audio clips of last night’s heroics courtesy of WCTC.

Milestone Moment

Patriots third baseman Jeff Nettles notched career hit No, 1,000 during his Atlantic League tenure. The hit came during game one of last night's doubleheader.

Patriots’ third baseman Jeff Nettles recorded his 1,000th career Atlantic League hit in game one of the doubleheader last night. His single in the home half of the sixth inning led to a standing ovation from his teammates, front office staff and diehard fans of Patriots Nation. Here is the audio clip of the milestone moment.

Jake Can Rake

Since Jake Fox signed with the Patriots on July 13th he has hit safely in 14 of his 16 games. He’s slugged five home runs and driven in 16 runs while hitting a scorching hot .383.

Owning Crustacean Nation

The Patriots are 11-4 against the Blue Crabs in 2012.

Fireworks Night

There will be a free fireworks show after the game for all fans to enjoy.

Starting Pitching Matchup Game One

Lefty Doug Arguello toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow southpaw Hunter Jones takes the hill for the Blue Crabs. Arguello has thrown eight quality starts in his last nine outings.
