Revolution Ends Patriots Streak With 7-1 Win

Bridgewater, NJ- The York Revolution defeated the Somerset Patriots 7-1 in front of 5,456 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Monday evening.

York jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first after Jeff Fiorentino came around to score on a fielder’s choice by Andres Perez.

The Revolution added a run in the fourth on a solo homerun by Michael Hernandez (12).

York exploded to score four runs the following inning, highlighted by a three run homerun over the left field wall by Perez (16) to increase their lead to 6-0.

A bases loaded ground out by Joe Holden in the fifth allowed Jeff Nettles to score to get the Patriots on the board and make the score 6-1.

The Revolution continued to add to their lead in the seventh after Ramon Castro scored on a Johan Limonta ground out to make the score 7-1.

York starter Chris Cody (8-11) got the win after allowing a run on four hits in seven innings of work.  Somerset starter Jon Kibler (0-1) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in five innings pitched.
