Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (20-22, 55-57) host the York Revolution (23-16, 59-50) in the first game of this three game weekend series between these Freedom Division foes at TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots currently trail the Revolution by 5.5 games in the wild card race. Tonight begins the first game of a pivotal seven game homestand for Somerset.

Revving It Up

The Revolution have won seven games in a row. They are 9-4 against the Patriots in 2012.

Sanchez Sizzling

Shortstop Yunesky Sanchez hit just .212 in the first half of the season but in the second half he has turned his season around. Since the All-Star break he’s hitting .321 with three home runs and 18 RBI. He had 11 RBI the entire first half.

Back To Back

Did you know that York and Somerset are the only teams in Atlantic League history to have won back to back Atlantic League titles. Somerset won two straight championships in 2008 and 2009. York won two straight championships in 2010 and 2011.
