Green’s Complete Game Leads To 2-1 Win

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the York Revolution 2-1 before 6,001 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening. Patriots starter Sean Green (4-6) got the win after pitching a complete game, allowing a run and striking out five batters. 

The Patriots jumped on top 1-0 in the first after Dan DeGeorge singled and scored later in the inning on a fielding error by the second baseman.

The Revolution evened up the score in the top of the third on an RBI single by Travis Scott that brought home Jeff Fiorentino and made the score 1-1.

Somerset scored to regain the lead in the bottom of the sixth after DeGeorge singled and scored on an RBI double by first baseman Jesse Hoorelbeke for the 2-1 advantage.

Chris Cody (9-12) picked up the loss for York, after surrendering two runs on six hits in six innings of work.
