Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight at 7:05 p.m. the Somerset Patriots (10-4) host the Bridgeport Bluefish (8-6) in the second game of a three game weekend series from TD Bank Ballpark. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. Somerset defeated Bridgeport in the series opener 3-1 as Mitch Atkins won for the third time in as many starts this season. The Patriots have won seven of their last eight contests overall. The Bluefish, despite the loss, currently sit atop the Liberty Division.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Josh Lowey (1-1, 4.21 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Keith Bilodeau (1-0, 3.85 ERA) will take the hill for the Bluefish.

The Sugar Land currently lead the Freedom Division by two games over the Patriots.

Jake Fox leads the Atlantic League with six home runs. Fox has as many homers as the entire Bridgeport team combined.

Showcasing Speed

Somerset leads the Atlantic League in stolen bases with 25. That’s five more than the next closest opponent. First year skipper Brett Jodie has been very aggressive thus far on the young season.

Jonny Tucker is the catalyst to the lineup. He has 11 RBI through 14 games. He’s tied for fifth in the league in RBI. He works the count well and sets the table for his teammates that follow him in the order.
