7-713loweyBridgewater, NJ- The Camden Riversharks defeated the Somerset Patriots 2-1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Sunday evening.

 

Somerset jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first after a bases loaded walk forced home Jonny Tucker.

 

Camden tied the game in the top of the third on an RBI base hit by Wilson Valdez to make the score 1-1.

 

The Riversharks scored to take the lead in the top of the sixth after a bases loaded walk allowed a run to score for the 2-1 advantage.

 

Camden reliever Jon Velasquez (2-1) got the win after tossing two scoreless innings.  Patriots starter Josh Lowey (7-4) suffered the loss, surrendering two runs in 5.2 innings pitched.  Adrian Martin came on to pitch the ninth to pick up his 12th save of the season.
