Patriots Win It In 11 Innings

827cortesBridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the York Revolution 4-3 at TD Bank Ballpark in 11 innings on Tuesday evening.

In the bottom of the 11th, Jeff Baisley doubled to lead off the inning and was pinch run for by James Skelton. After a passed ball moved Skelton to third, Jorge Cortes singled up the middle to win the game.

York scored to take a 1-0 lead in the third on an RBI base hit by Wilson Batista.

A solo homerun by Cory Aldridge (11) the following inning tied the score up at one.

Yunesky Sanchez drove home two runs in the fifth to break the tie and put Somerset on top 3-1.

The Revolution rallied back to tie the game at three in the seventh on a two run base hit by Ruddy Yan.

Patriots reliever Jon Hunton (3-5) picked up the win with a scoreless inning pitched. Rommie Lewis (0-1) suffered the loss, allowing a run on two hits.
