Bridgewater, NJ – Today the Somerset Patriots (17-10, 64-33) take on the Camden Riversharks (11-15, 34-62) for the second game of a four game series featuring these Garden State foes. First pitch is scheduled for 11:05 a.m. from TD Bank Ballpark. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. Somerset is 11-3 against Camden in the Turnpike Series in 2014. The Patriots have already clinched this year’s Turnpike Cup.

The Patriots have won five straight games and are 8-1 in their last nine contests. The Patriots have established a new high-water mark of being 31 games above .500.

Closer Jon Hunton leads the Atlantic League with 34 saves. That’s eight more than anyone else in the league. He has only blown one save since June 1st. Hunton is four saves away from breaking the single season Patriots record for most saves in a year and Hunton is eight seven saves away from breaking the Atlantic League record for most saves in a year.

The Somerset Patriots are the 2014 1st Half Liberty Division Champions! This is their 13th Half Title in franchise history as the Patriots are going to the playoffs for some serious September baseball!
