Lancaster, PA – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (20-13, 67-36) travel to the Keystone State to battle the Lancaster Barnstormers (17-15, 56-46) for the first game of a three game midweek series. Daryle Ward returns to Clipper Magazine Stadium for the first time since he played for Lancaster last year. He hit 17 homers for the Barnstormers in 2013.

Closer Jon Hunton leads the Atlantic League with 35 saves. That’s eight more than anyone else in the league. He has only blown two saves since June 1st. Hunton is three saves away from breaking the single season Patriots record for most saves in a year and Hunton is six saves away from breaking the Atlantic League record for most saves in a year.

Brian Barden had two homers in his first 44 games but he has three homers in his last 10 games.

Postseason Bound

The Somerset Patriots are the 2014 1st Half Liberty Division Champions! This is their 13th Half Title in franchise history as the Patriots are going to the playoffs for some serious September baseball!
