In the bottom of the first inning right fielder Luis Montanez sprayed a RBI single to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.
York evened the contest at 1-1 in the top of the second inning thanks to a throwing error by third baseman Corey Smith.
Montanez spanked a go ahead two run home run (16) in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Somerset in front 3-1.
The Patriots plated a pair of runs in the home half of the seventh inning to expand their to 5-1. Second baseman Jeff Dominguez legged out a RBI infield single and Smith socked a RBI sacrifice fly.
Matt Maloney (9-8) earned the win tossing seven innings while allowing one run. Scott Gorgen (6-9) endured the loss hurling six frames while surrendering three runs.
