Revolution Salvage Series With 4-1 Win Over Patriots

Bridgewater, NJ – The York Revolution (32-26, 73-55) defeated the Somerset Patriots (32-27, 79-50) 4-1 Sunday afternoon from TD Bank Ballpark. SEPT7GRAPHIC

In the bottom of the second inning center fielder Cory Harrilchak hit a RBI fielder’s choice to give Somerset a 1-0 advantage.

York scored three times in the top of the fourth frame to grab a 3-1 lead. Designated hitter Bryant Nelson clubbed a RBI sacrifice fly, second baseman Omar Luna poked a RBI single and third baseman Travis Garcia slapped a RBI double.

The Revolution received a RBI double from catcher Alberto Espinosa to increase their lead to 4-1 in the top of the ninth inning.

Jorge Martinez (9-8) earned the win tossing seven innings while allowing one run. Erik Arnesen (7-6) endured the loss lasting 3.1 innings while giving up three runs. Mark Hendrickson notched the save (7) pitching a perfect ninth inning.
