Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight marks the second game of the year as the Somerset Patriots (1-0) host the Long Island Ducks (0-1) from TD Bank Ballpark at 7:05 p.m. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. Somerset improved to 11-8 all-time on Opening Day with a 9-3 victory last night. Long Island scored three runs in the top of the first inning but Somerset would score nine unanswered runs. Starting Pitching Matchup

Lefty Jeremy Horst (0-0, 0.00 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow southpaw Darin Downs (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will toss for Long Island. Horst was in MLB from 2011-13 with Reds and Phillies. Downs enters his second straight year with the Flock

Jon Hunton, entering his 5th year with the Patriots, is seven saves away from becoming the all-time saves leader in Atlantic League history. He currently has 128. Jim Ed Warden, formerly of Southern Maryland, holds the mark with 134.

Joining The Good Guys

Carlos Guzman played in 135 games for Camden Riversharks last year. He was an All-Star who hit .276, 10 HRs, 76 RBI. In 24 games against Somerset he was lethal hitting .310, 2 HRs, 14 RBI.
