PLATINUM ANNIVERSARY: 2017 is Somerset’s 20th season as a franchise, an achievement that will be celebrated all season long. Having already won an Atlantic League-record six championships, the Patriots look looking to make it seven league titles in their 20th season of action.

CONGRATS ARE IN ORDER: Six Patriots have had their contracts purchased by MLB organizations in 2017. LHPs Jeremy Bleich (4/29) & Logan Darnell (5/9) both had their contracts purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers, RHPs Tyler Cloyd (5/10) & Ryan Kelly (5/17) had their contracts purchased by the Seattle Mariners, LHP Aaron Laffey (5/15) went to the Arizona Diamondbacks and RHP Vin Mazzaro (5/18) is heading to the Cincinnati Reds. All six reported directly to their respective Triple-A affiliates. There have been 12 total players in the league this year who’s contracts have been purchased this year by Major League organizations; six of whom from Somerset.

RICK TEASLERGAARD: After Rick Teasley’s shutout performance against the Bridgeport Bluefish Saturday night, the first-year Patriot now leads the Atlantic League in ERA (1.45 ERA) among qualified pitchers. SCOTTY DOES KNOW: Infielder Scott Kelly has turned it on as of late, recording a hit in 16 of his last 19 games. Over that stretch, the fourth-year Patriot is 22-66 (.333) with 13 runs scored, 10 RBI and seven SB.
