1ST HALF LIBERTY DIVISION CHAMPIONS: Somerset have clinched their 7th half division title under manager Brett Jodie and their league-record 19th half championship in franchise history and is now guaranteed a playoff spot. Somerset has also been atop the Liberty Division for 105-straight days to begin the season.
HOME SWEET HOME: The Patriots have won 13 of 16 games at home to begin the second half. They have allowed more than two earned runs just thrice in the 16 games, and have yielded just 25 earned runs over 149 innings (1.51 ERA).
4 SCORE AND A PATS WIN: Somerset is a perfect 8-0 when scoring four runs or more at TD Bank Ballpark in the second half of the season.
NINE IS FINE: The Patriots plated a season-high nine runs in the 7th inning Friday night. Their previous high was a seven-run eighth inning in the May 22nd game against Sugar Land. Somerset batters were hit by a pitch, drew three walks, recorded eight hits and at one point had 10-straight reach in the inning.
MAD MAN MASSEY: Craig Massey is on a 25-game on-base streak, the longest on the team this year and second longest in the league (Jordany Valdespin, 32). inVINCEable: Vince Molesky has not missed a beat since returning to the starting rotation. In three starts this season, he has tossed 19.0 IP, allowing 13 hits and three walks with 16 K, good for an ERA of 0.95. Molesky is just over 10 innings from qualifying for league leaders, and his 3.17 ERA would rank fifth.
