Tied at 7-7 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Justin Pacchioli laced an RBI single to right field for the go-ahead run for the Patriots.
The Revolution quickly responded for three runs to take a 10-8 lead in the top of the ninth inning on an RBI double by Telvin Nash, a run-scoring wild pitch, and an RBI infield single by Wellington Dotel.
The Patriots had taken an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a two-run home run by Alfredo Rodriguez (5), who finished the game 3-for-5 with two RBI.
Ramon Flores’ two-run double extended Somerset’s lead to 4-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
The Revolution got on the board in the top of the fourth inning on an RBI double by Nash that made the score 4-1.
York cut then cut the lead in half on a run scoring error in the top of the fifth inning.
The Patriots answered with three more runs in the bottom of the frame on an RBI single by Endy Chavez and a two-run single by Flores for a 7-2 advantage.
The Revolution rallied for three runs of their own in the top of the sixth inning on an RBI single by Isaias Tejeda, and a two-run double by Ryan Dent to close the gap to 7-5.
A solo home run by Melky Mesa (20) in the top of the seventh inning made it a 7-6 game.
York tied up the game in the top of the eighth inning on an RBI single by Jared Mitchell.
James Pugliese (4-1) picked up the win, allowing a run on two hits in an inning pitched. Ryan Kelly (2-3) suffered the loss, allowing three earned runs on four hits in an inning of work. Dustin Richardson closed out the game for his fourth save of the season.
