May 11th Game Notes; Patriots @ Revolution

York, PA – Tonight at 6:30 p.m. the Somerset Patriots (9-5) begin a three game weekend series with the two-time reigning Atlantic League Champion York Revolution (3-10) at Sovereign Bank Stadium. The Patriots have won four in a row and eight of their last nine games. The Revolution have lost three in a row and six of their last seven games.

The Patriots are coming off a four game sweep of the Sugar Land Skeeters. In the four game series the Patriots outscored the Skeeters 25-11. Each of the Patriots’ four starting pitchers tossed at least five innings. Doug Arguello struck out each of the last eight batters he faced last Sunday

The Patriots have shown tremendous resiliency early on in 2012. The Patriots have mustered six come from behind wins and four wins in their final at bat. The Patriots starting pitchers have a combined 3.26 ERA and a 2:1 strikeout to walk ratio which is extremely respectable.
