York, PA – The York Revolution (6-10) completed the three game sweep of the Somerset Patriots (9-8) with a 4-1 victory on Sunday night at Sovereign Bank Stadium. Revolution starting pitcher Ryan Feierabend earned his second win of 2012 as he hurled 6.2 strong innings surrendering only one run. Patriots starting pitcher Justin Cassel struck out a season high seven batters in six innings of work despite picking up his second loss of 2012.
After consecutive singles from third baseman Ramon Castro and shortstop Danny Gonzalez to start the bottom of the third inning, Revolution catcher Travis Scott clubbed an opposite field three-run home run (1) to make the score 3-0.
Castro hit a run scoring single in the fourth inning as the Revolution tacked on a run to make the score 4-0. Castro came into this series with just three RBI on the season but registered six RBI this weekend.
In the top of the seventh inning Patriots catcher Yusuf Carter hit an RBI single up the middle to score third baseman Jeff Nettles to make the score 4-1. Nettles extended his hitting streak to seven games as he recorded his 200th career Atlantic League double.
