Custom Text

Lancaster, PA – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (15-14) visit the Lancaster Barnstormers (15-15) at 7:00pm from Clipper Magazine Stadium in the first game of this pivotal four game midweek series. The Patriots took two of three from the Barnstormers earlier this month at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

Doug Arguello looks to pick up his second win of the season tonight against Lancaster

Tight Race…

Somerset is currently ½ game ahead in the Freedom Division over Lancaster while Sugar Land is just one game behind Somerset. It’s definitely a three horse race as all three teams are bunched up.

Litmus Test…

The Patriots play 13 of their next 17 games against either the Skeeters or Barnstormers. This is a chance for one of these three teams to pull away from the pack and separate the pretenders from the contenders. The next two and a half weeks are a big barometer for the first half of the season.

Road Trip…

The Patriots play 13 of their next 17 games on the road and tonight begin an eight game, seven day road trip that starts in Lancaster and finishes up in Camden.

Tonight’s starting pitching matchup features southpaw Doug Arguello for the Patriots against righty J.D. Durbin for the Barnstormers.
