July 7th Game Notes; Patriots @ Blue Crabs

Waldorf, MD – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (33-35) visit the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (30-39) at 6:35 p.m. from Regency Furniture Stadium for the third game of this four game weekend series. This will be the final series of the first half for both clubs. Next week is the All-Star break.

The Patriots won last night 4-1. They turned three double plays and laid down three key sacrifice bunts which led to runs. Yusuf Carter also smashed his seventh home run of the season and his second round tripper in as many days. Here’s the audio clip of Carter’s blast last night to left field courtesy of WCTC.
