Lancaster, PA – The Lancaster Barnstormers (14-9, 59-34) completed the three game weekend sweep of the Somerset Patriots (10-14, 45-49) with a 7-1 victory Sunday night at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The game was delayed one hour at the start due to rain.

In the bottom of the third inning right fielder Fehlandt Lentini hit a RBI single to give the Barnstormers a 1-0 lead.

In the home half of the fourth inning Lancaster added five more runs to take a commanding 6-0 lead. Third baseman Kody Kirkland spanked a three run home run (15) and Lentini drilled a two run home run (12) as both homers went to right field.

The Barnstormers added a run in the fifth frame as Kirkland laced a RBI double as Lancaster led by a touchdown 7-0.

The Patriots scored their only run of the game on catcher Adam Donachie’s RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.

Alan Johnson recorded his ninth win of the season as he tossed his second complete game of the year. Derell McCall suffered his fifth loss of the season as he hurled five innings giving up seven runs and a season-high 11 hits.
