Bridgewater, NJ – Today the Somerset Patriots (30-38, 65-73) host the Bridgeport Bluefish (35-33, 66-72) in the rubber game of this three game weekend series from TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots lost the series opener 5-1 but responded by blanking the Fish 1-0 in a rain shortened five inning affair last night.. The Patriots are 11-8 against the Bluefish in 2012. This is the final game of the 2012 season for both squads.

Bullpen Mafia

The Patriots bullpen dating back to game two of the doubleheader on Saturday against York has thrown 20.1 consecutive scoreless innings.

Third baseman Jeff Nettles has been extremely productive against Bridgeport this year. Nettles is hitting .353 with three homers and 17 RBI in 18 games against the Bluefish.
