High Water Mark: Last year the Patriots were four games above .500 only once when they were 12-8 after 20 games. This year they are already four games above .500. Somerset has not been five games above .500 since the end of the 2010 season.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Erik Arnesen (1-1, 1.93 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Josh Brownell (0-2, 7.20 ERA) will take the hill for the Ducks. Arnesen has 15 strikeouts and 0 walks on the season in 14 innings of work. Brownell made two starts in the Ducks playoff run last fall.

Sanchez Sizzling

Yunesky Sanchez leads the league in batting average (.381), tied for first in homers (5) and leads league in RBI (15). He has hit safely in nine of the 10 games this year.

Jake Can Rake

Jake Fox has a nine game hitting streak and has homered in three consecutive games and has hit at least one homer in four of the last five contests.

Power Surge

Somerset has homered in nine of their first 10 games which is impressive considering they were last in the Atlantic League in home runs hit in 2012.

Straw That Stirs Drink

Jonny Tucker is the catalyst to the lineup. He has 10 RBI through 10 games and is hitting .273. He’s third in the league in RBI. He works the count well and sets the table for his teammates that follow him in the order.
