York, PA – Tonight at 6:30 p.m. the Somerset Patriots (13-6) visit the York Revolution (11-9) in the final game of a four game midweek series from Sovereign Bank Stadium featuring these Freedom Division foes. Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Josh Lowey (1-1, 4.59 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Matt Fox (1-0, 0.75 ERA) will take the hill for the Revolution.

Freedom Division Update

The Sugar Land Skeeters (16-3) currently lead the Freedom Division by three games over the Patriots.

Jake Can Rake

No Breadsticks For You

James Skelton was the designated “K Man” in last night’s game. He had two strikes on him and the 1,599 fans in attendance were one strike away from winning a free voucher for breadsticks from Pizza Hut. Fans were chanting “BREADSTICKS, BREADSTICKS, BREADSTICKS” yet Skelton delivered with a clutch RBI single. Here’s the audio clip courtesy of WCTC. His hit silenced the crowd.

Pounding The Zone

The Patriots pitching staff has accumulated 139 strikeouts thus far compared to just 42 walks. That’s good for an impressive 3 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio.

Somerset is just 2-11 since the start of the 2012 season at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

Bullpen Taxed

In this series the Patriots bullpen has logged 16.2 innings in just three games. Starter Josh Lowey must give Somerset some depth tonight to give the bullpen a break.
