The Barnstormers evened the game up at two in the bottom half of the third on an RBI double by Daryle Ward.
A solo homerun by Ryan Harvey (10) in the top of the sixth broke the tie and gave Lancaster the 3-2 advantage.
Lancaster starter Brian Grening (2-2) picked up the win, allowing two runs on six hits and four strikeouts in five innings pitched. Mitch Atkins (3-2) suffered the loss for Somerset, allowing three runs on 10 hits and four strikeouts in 6.2 innings pitched. Jason Urquidez came on in relief to earn his fourth save of the season.
The Patriots defeated the Barnstormers 8-0 in front of 5,511 fans at TD Bank Ballpark in game two.
The Patriots jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Jake Fox and Josh Kroeger had RBI singles to start the scoring. Adam Donachie cleared the bases with a three-run double and later scored on an RBI single by Bobby Stevens.
Donachie plated another run in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI single.
Somerset added their final run in the bottom of the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Corey Smith that made the score 8-0.
Patriots starter Graham Taylor (3-1) went the full seven and struck out seven for the win. Lancaster starter Lenny DiNardo (3-4) suffered the loss, allowing seven runs on ten hits in three innings of work.
