Bridgewater, NJ – Happy Father’s Day! Today the Somerset Patriots (36-17) host the Bridgeport Bluefish (17-37) for the four game series finale TD Bank Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. Somerset is going for the sweep. The Patriots won the series opener last night 7-2 and swept the doubleheader last night. Somerset is 9-0 against Bridgeport in 2013.

In game two of the doubleheader last night Aharon Eggleston laid down a perfectly executed walkoff safety squeeze bunt to plate the winning run. Here is the audio clip of the final call courtesy of WCTC.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Brad Thompson (4-2, 3.81 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while southpaw Kelvin Villa (0-1, 10.12 ERA) will take the hill for the Bluefish.

Freedom Division Update

The Sugar Land Skeeters (37-17) currently lead the Somerset Patriots (36-17) by 0.5 games in the first half Freedom Division race. Somerset has played one fewer game than Sugar Land.

Jake Can Rake

Jake Fox leads the Atlantic League in home runs with 16 and RBI with 46.

E-Mart Swag

Eddy Martinez-Esteve leads the Atlantic League in batting average hitting at a tremendous .359 clip. He has reached base safely in 28 of his last 31 contests.

Eggs Sunny Side Up

Aharon Eggleston has the second best batting average in the Atlantic League at .356. He has hit safely in 20 of his last 25 ball games.

Fantastic Four

The Patriots are 30-7 when they score four or more runs. The Patriots are 6-10 when they score 3 or fewer runs.
