Bridgewater, NJ – Happy Opening Day! Tonight the Somerset Patriots (0-0) host the Long Island Ducks (0-0) at 7:05 p.m. from TD Bank Ballpark. This is the first game of a three game weekend series between these Liberty Division foes. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. This is a rematch from last year’s dramatic Championship Series in which the Ducks prevailed in five games. Immediately after the game there will be a fireworks show for all fans to enjoy.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Erik Arnesen (0-0, 0.00 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler John Brownell (0-0, 0.00 ERA) will take the hill for the Flock. For the second time in as many years Arnesen toes the rubber on Opening Day for the red, white and blue. Brownell was last year’s Championship Series MVP as he won games one and five against the Pats.
