Waldorf, MD – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (32-20) travel to battle the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (21-32) for the third game of a four game set from Regency Furniture Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Download tonight’s comprehensive game notes. These two squads have split the first two games of the series. The Patriots are 4-2 against the Crabs.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Erik Arnesen (5-3, 3.80 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Ian Marshall (2-4, 3.69 ERA) takes the hill for the Crabs.

Playoff Push

Somerset leads Long Island by 2.5 games in the first half Liberty Division race. Somerset went 6-4 against Long Island in the first half so if these two squads finished tied after 70 games then Somerset would hold the tie breaker because the Patriots one the first half head-to-head series. The magic number is 16 (combination of Patriots wins and/or Ducks losses).
