Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Matt Langwell (3-5, 3.62 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Matt Wright (5-5, 3.75 ERA) takes the hill for the Skeeters.

Playoff Push

Somerset leads Long Island by 6.0 games in the first half Liberty Division race. Somerset went 6-4 against Long Island in the first half so if these two squads finished tied after 70 games then Somerset would hold the tie breaker because the Patriots won the first half head-to-head series. The magic number is 3 (combination of Patriots wins and/or Ducks losses).

Best Half Ever…

The most wins in a single half by a Somerset Patriots team is 46 accomplished in the first half of 2013. This year’s squad must go 6-2 in its final eight games to break that record.

Swatting The Skeeters

Since August of 2013 the Patriots are 15-4 against the Skeeters including the playoffs

Fantastic Four

The Patriots are 36-4 when they score four runs or more but only 5-17 when they score three runs or fewer.

Eggs Sunny Side Up

Aharon Eggleston hit just .177 in the month of May but is hitting .370 in the month of June.

Getting Smitty With It

Corey Smith is in the midst of an nine game hitting streak

Donnie Baseball

Adam Donachie has hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games

Lucky Number Seven

The Patriots are 28-1 when they lead after seven innings
