Starting Pitching Matchup

Lefty Matt Maloney (3-3, 3.42 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow southpaw Brandon Mann (1-0, 4.80 ERA) takes the hill for the Stormers.

Playoff Push

Somerset leads Long Island by 5.5 games in the first half Liberty Division race. Somerset went 6-4 against Long Island in the first half so if these two squads finished tied after 70 games then Somerset would hold the tie breaker because the Patriots won the first half head-to-head series. The magic number is 1 (combination of Patriots wins and/or Ducks losses).

The Patriots can clinch their first Division Title in four years tonight. Somerset can clinch by beating the Barnstormers OR Somerset can clinch if the Ducks lose to the Bluefish tonight.

Best Half Ever…

The most wins in a single half by a Somerset Patriots team is 46 accomplished in the first half of 2013. This year’s squad must go 6-0 in its final six games to break that record.

Offensive Drought

The Patriots have not scored a run since Saturday night. They’ve gone 19 straight innings without plating a run.

Fantastic Four

The Patriots are 36-4 when they score four runs or more but only 5-19 when they score three runs or fewer.

Lucky Number Seven

The Patriots are 28-1 when they lead after seven innings
