Bridgewater, NJ– Tonight the Somerset Patriots (42-23) host the Lancaster Barnstormers (37-28) for a doubleheader from TD Bank Ballpark. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. Each game will be seven innings and there will be a 30 minute break in between contest. Lancaster is 5-4 against Somerset in 2014.

Starting Pitching Matchup Game One

Lefty Matt Zielinski (7-2, 2.67 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while righty hurler Mark Rogers (3-2, 3.06 ERA) takes the hill for the Stormers.

Starting Pitching Matchup Game Two

Righty Gary Moran (5-3, 4.79 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while southpaw Dan Osterbrock (5-2, 4.15 ERA) takes the hill for the Stormers.

The Somerset Patriots are the 2014 1st Half Liberty Division Champions! This is their 13th Half Title in franchise history as the Patriots are going to the playoffs for some serious September baseball!

The most wins in a single half by a Somerset Patriots team is 46 accomplished in the first half of 2013. This year’s squad must go 5-0 in its final five games to break that record.
