Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (1-2, 47-25) host the Sugar Land Skeeters (2-2, 40-33) for the first game of a four game weekend series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from TD Bank Ballpark. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. This is the final series before the All-Star break.

Last night Somerset notched its 26th come from behind victory and its 12th win in its final at bat as the Patriots defeated the Revolution 6-5. The following are audio highlights courtesy of WCTC…

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Matt Langwell (4-6, 3.67 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Clint Everts (2-6, 6.17 ERA) takes the hill for the Skeeters.

Postseason Bound

The Somerset Patriots are the 2014 1st Half Liberty Division Champions! This is their 13th Half Title in franchise history as the Patriots are going to the playoffs for some serious September baseball! The Patriots have elected to take the back three games of the first round series at home so they will open up the postseason on the road. Tickets are on sale by calling 908-252-0700.


Pitcher Matt Zileinski, catcher Adam Donachie, and third baseman Corey Smith have been named to the 2014 Atlantic League All-Star Game. The contest will be played July 16th at Constellation Field. Pitching Coach Cory Domel will be part of the coaching staff.
