In the bottom of the first inning York grabbed a 2-0 lead as catcher Shea Harris committed a throwing error that led to a run and first baseman Chad Tracy plated a run via a RBI groundout.
Center fielder Luis Montanez cranked a two run home run (15) in the top of the fourth frame to even the contest at 2-2.
The Revolution retook the lead in the ensuing half inning as shortstop Travis Garcia clobbered a two run home run (13) to up the score to 4-2.
Somerset scored three times in the top of the fifth inning to catapult in front 5-4. Right fielder Ty Wright roped a two RBI double while third baseman Corey Smith smacked a RBI groundout.
Right fielder Justin Greene pounded a solo home run (6) to tie the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
In the bottom of the seventh inning the Revolution scored three runs to take an 8-5 lead. Runs came across via a Smith throwing error, RBI triple by second baseman Eric Patterson, and RBI single by Tracy.
Greg Miller (1-8) earned the win in relief. Gary Moran (10-4) sustained the loss allowing seven runs in 6.1 innings of work. Mark Hendrickson earned the save (6) pitching a perfect ninth inning.
