Bridgeport, CT – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (33-27, 80-50) travel to the Nutmeg State to battle the Bridgeport Bluefish (19-41, 41-89) for the final game of a mini two game midweek set featuring these two flagship Atlantic League franchises. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from Harbor Yard. Download today’s comprehensive game notes. The Patriots are 14-2 against the Bluefish this year.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Gary Moran (11-4, 4.22 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while fellow righty hurler Kyle McMillen (0-6, 7.26 ERA) takes the hill for the Fish.

The Patriots are trying to repeat as half division title winners. The magic number is seven. They currently lead the 2nd Half Liberty Division standings by 4.0 games over Long Island with 10 games to go. The Ducks own the second half tiebreaker should they both finish with identical second half records.

The Somerset Patriots are the 2014 1st Half Liberty Division Champions! This is their 13th Half Title in franchise history as the Patriots are going to the playoffs for some serious September baseball!
