Bridgewater, NJ – Tonight the Somerset Patriots (3-3, 89-50) battle the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (4-1, 69-71) in Game Two of the Atlantic League Championship Best-of-Five Series. The Blue Crabs lead the series 1-0. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from TD Bank Ballpark. Download today’s  comprehensive game notes. The Patriots repeated as Half Title Winners while the Blue Crabs won the First Half Freedom Division Title. The Patriots are searching for their sixth Atlantic League Championship while the Blue Crabs are looking for their first. This is a rematch of the 2009 Atlantic League Championship Series where the Patriots won 3-1.

Starting Pitching Matchup

Righty Will Oliver (6-2, 3.16 ERA) toes the rubber for Somerset while southpaw Brian Burress (8-9, 3.98 ERA) will toss for Southern Maryland. Facing elimination in Game Four against the Ducks, Oliver hurled a masterpiece tossing a complete game four hit shutout. Burress is a former big leaguer with the Orioles and picked up the loss in Game Two of first round set against Lancaster.
