PLATINUM ANNIVERSARY: 2017 is Somerset’s 20th season as a franchise, an achievement that will be celebrated all season long. Having already won an Atlantic League-record six championships, the Patriots look looking to make it seven league titles in their 20th season of action.

WEST COAST DREAMIN’: Four Patriots have had their contracts purchased by MLB organizations in 2017. Left-handed pitchers Jeremy Bleich (4/29) & Logan Darnell (5/9) both had their contracts purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers & reported directly to Triple-A Oklahoma City. RHP Tyler Cloyd (5/10) had his contract purchased by the Seattle Mariners & reported to Triple-A Tacoma, while LHP Aaron Laffey (5/15) had his contract purchased by the Arizona Diamondbacks and reported to Triple-A Reno.

YO GONZA GONZA: Second-year Patriot Yovan Gonzalez has reached base safely in 14 of the 15 games he has played this season, including a team-high seven-game hit streak (4/28 – 5/6). Gonzalez is currently five plate appearances shy of qualifying among league-leaders in batting, but his .365 average would otherwise rank second the Atlantic League.

NOT JUST PATCH WORK: After starting in three out of four games in the series in Southern Maryland, Justin Pacchioli has now scored a run in seven-straight games, hit safely in six-straight and has an RBI in four of six. Over his last six starts, Pacchioli is 10-17 with 5 RBI, 8 runs & 6 SB.

DRAMA IN JERSEY: Four of the first 10 home games for the Somerset Patriots this season have gone into extra innings. Additionally, another game (5/6 vs. York) was decided in the bottom of the ninth. Somerset has six wins in its last at-bat this year, including four walk-off wins at home.

KYLER ON FYLER: Fourth-year Patriots reliever Kyler Newby has gotten off to a lights-out start to begin the season, tossing 8.0 scoreless innings in his first nine appearances.

WELCOME ABOARD: The Patriots have recently signed two Major Leaguers, RHP Vin Mazzaro and RHP Jerome Williams (and RHP Will Oliver), who come to Somerset with a combined 19 seasons of service in the big leagues.

TOP 20: All season long, the Somerset Patriots will be unveiling their Top 20 players in franchise history. RHP Jim Migrane was just named the 16th greatest Patriot of all time. Follow along all season to find out who will join him!
