Shawn Semple4:00 PM — It doesn’t seem as though Somerset will be hitting on the field today, with a rainstorm that blew through here about an hour or so ago apparently moving them into the cages, where I’m not allowed to go.

25-year-old Voorhees native Shawn Semple (pictured) is set to get the start for the Patriots today, although this won’t be his Double-A debut.

Semple pitched in seven games for the Thunder — six of them starts — in 2019, and went 0-3 with a 5.00 ERA, striking out 34 batters in 36 innings of work.

Updates on lineups and any other relevant news will be posted in this thread later today.
